Social Media Freelancer (Paid)

July Sky (julyskyskincare.com) is a sunscreen brand founded in 2018 and based in San Francisco. Our mission is to create sun protection products that are effective, cleanly formulated, and a joy to use everyday. We're a small business that’s proudly woman-founded & -owned.

We are looking for a self-driven and passionate social media freelancer who thrives in a startup environment. This role will be responsible for managing and growing our social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok.

This is a paid, fully remote position; you have full flexibility over your hours.

Responsibilities:

* Work with founder on weekly basis to manage social platforms, focusing on Instagram
* Create original, engaging social media posts that align with brand voice
* Identify new opportunities to grow our community of 3k+ followers

Qualifications:

A desire to learn and a positive attitude is more important for us than any years of experience. We also value someone who takes pride in being able to build a community.

* Knowledge of skincare products and an interest in getting more people to wear sunscreen everyday
* Ability to craft social media posts that are educational and engaging on a weekly basis
* Openness to feedback and being adaptive with changing priorities
* Bonus if you have graphic design experience (proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
* Bonus if you can create and edit short-form video content (e.g. Tik Tok or IG Reels) and are comfortable being the face of the videos when needed
