July Sky was founded to make people enjoy using sunscreen again. We do it the only way we know how - by keeping things simple.

Five years ago, you'd never find me wearing sunscreen. I had oily, hyperpigmented skin. Wearing a heavy, greasy sunblock was the last thing I wanted to do.
When a childhood friend became diagnosed with skin cancer in her early 20's, I started to take sunscreen more seriously. To my surprise, most of the sunscreen formulas in the US were far from being as beneficial as the marketing claimed. The ones with a slick texture and pleasant scent were laden with questionable ingredients. The "natural" ones were thick and caused me to break out.
I set out to build a sunscreen that you will not only enjoy, but also trust. More to come.
