Our mission is to make sunscreen enjoyable

Despite being way more important than most people realize, sunscreen is not a very user friendly product. There are too many skincare brands out there, but too few SPF products that are a joy to use everyday.

July Sky (formerly Sundaze) was founded to make people enjoy using sunscreen again. We do it the only way we know how - by keeping things simple.

In 2018, we launched with one product - C-Shells, an SPF 30 mineral sunscreen that’s cleanly formulated and easy to apply. The bonus? We infused it with the best form of Vitamin C out there so that it does a little more for your skin.

Thank you for being a part of our journey to get everyone wearing - and enjoying - sunscreen everyday!

Why do we need sunscreen?

  1. ~90% of skin aging is caused by the sun
  2. Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the US⁣
  3. People who use daily sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher show 24% less skin aging and reduce their risk of developing melanoma by 50% (!)⁣

We’re committed to bringing you sun protection that you’ll look forward to using everyday. Because the last step of your morning skincare routine is the most important 👌⁣

From Our Founder

Five years ago, you'd never find me wearing sunscreen. I had oily skin with lots of hyperpigmentation. Wearing a heavy, greasy sunblock was the last thing I wanted to do.

When a childhood friend became diagnosed with skin cancer in her early 20's, I started to take sunscreen more seriously. To my surprise, most of the sunscreen formulas in the US were far from being as beneficial as the marketing claimed. The ones with a slick texture and pleasant scent were laden with questionable ingredients. The "natural" ones were thick and caused me to break out.

I set out to build a sunscreen that you will not only enjoy, but also trust. More to come.
